I had an issue with Canon M50 Mark II showing black bars on the top and bottom of the image when using HDMI out. I struggled with this for about an hour, Googling, going through Canon Community forms and Reddit… however, nothing helped. One post mentioned something about checking the HDMI cable, and sure enough… I replaced my Micro-HDMI to HDMI cable with this one and it worked!

New HDMI cable didn’t help for me but I changed my video system setting from PAL to NTSC and it solved it.
