25. Touchscreen

G85 Touchscreen

The touchscreen is easy to use. You can change options silently, without using the physical buttons.

Touchpad AF lets you select a focus point on the rear screen while using the viewfinder. This is a fantastic feature and this touchscreen is useful in multiple ways.

G85 Electronic View Finder

The Electronic View Finder is a Live view. So what you see is what you get. Any changes to the exposure including  aperture, shutter, iso and white balance are effective immediately so you know what image you’re getting.

This is such a great feature to see exactly what’s in focus. It illuminates the focus areas within the depth of field. It’s available in manual focus mode.

With all the reasons mentioned here, this camera is a great bang/buck. I got it on sale for $640. Remember this camera was $1000+ when it first released. To be able to buy this camera at $300 to $400 lower is a great bargain.
